Fat blocking diet pills prevent the body from absorbing all of the fat that is provided by the diet. The fat that is not digested passes through the intestines untouched and is excreted with the stool. Carb blockers do a similar thing with carbohydrates. A gram of fat contains nine calories, and a gram of carbohydrate contains four calories, so pill that can interfere with their digestion in this way can be very good for restricting the calorie intake.

Chromium is a mineral that helps prevent the post-eating sugar spikes that can trigger a desire for sweet food. NeOpuntia is a branded form of nopal cactus extract. Nopal is one of the most respected fat blocking ingredients available and it’s abilities in this regard are scientifically proven. Nopal also has a long history of use as an appetite suppressant, so it’s presence here serves more than one function.

The promised carb blocking effect could be fulfilled by the presence of white kidney bean extract—if enough was included. The dose used is generally quite high, and one study used 1000mg before meals. The entire proprietary blend is only 510mg, and it contains seven other ingredients, so the amount here is unlikely to be enough. The presence of a wheat-based amylase inhibitor may also help with carb blocking but, once again, the amount included is probably too low. Garcinia cambogia may help with appetite suppression, and green tea is a proven fat burner, but the lack of inclusion rates makes it impossible to say how well either ingredient is likely to perform.

A few customers state the formulation upset their stomach and gave them diarrhoea. Due to the way they work, all fat blockers have the potential to cause diarrhoea if people continue to eat foods that contain a lot of fat. Fat blockers must be used in conjunction with a healthy low-fat diet.

Overall the tablets appear to be tolerated well, but IT Works state women who are pregnant or nursing should check with their doctor prior to using the product. They offer the same advice to people who are using medication or have existing medical conditions.

The third option is to sign up as an IT Works distributor and start actively marketing the company’s products in the hopes of building a lucrative business.

Although the ingredients used in the proprietary blend should support weight loss, the inclusion rates are unknown and the blend may not contain enough of the better ingredients such as green tea and garcinia cambogia.
